Angie Morrow, LCAS, LCMHCA
Executive Director
​Angie Morrow, LCAS, LCMHC-A, serves as the Executive Director and is a clinician. She is focused on continuous program improvement and providing an environment that is conducive to recovery and respectful of each client's individual needs. Angie has a personal connection to Hope Valley that began in 1994 and continues to impact her life in a most beautiful and positive way. Since that time, she has tried to live in gratitude and help others. Her educational background includes a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College.

Billie Lawson Manning, CADC
Women's Division Director
Billie Lawson Manning, CADC, serves as the Women's Division Director and is a counselor. Billie began her career at Hope Valley in 2012 as a residential staff member and became a counselor in 2013. Her personal struggles led her to Hope Valley, and her professional beliefs and empathy have prompted her to progress in the field of Substance Abuse Counseling. Billie's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, and she is currently working on achieving her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Ryan Morrow, LCMHCA, LCAS-A
Assistant Director
Ryan Morrow, LCMHCA, LCAS-A, serves as the Assistant Director and is a counselor at the Men's Division. Ryan came to work as a residential staff member in 2014. After earning a bachelor's degree in Community and Therapeutic Recreation from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Ryan lived in Swaziland working with HIV program beneficiaries, and returned to the States to earn a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College. Ryan's diverse experiences influence her daily interactions with clients and staff and assist her in ensuring that Hope Valley remains an inclusive program.

Kathy Akers, LCAS
Senior Counselor
Women's Division
Kathy Akers, LCAS, has served as a counselor at Hope Valley since 1985. Kathy proudly worked under the supervision of Marion Bivins for 14.5 years and has carried those teachings with her since then. Kathy has seen many women come through the doors of the Women's Division and continues to work tirelessly to assist each person in their recovery. Kathy's service, dedication, and leadership to the clients, staff, recovery community, and Hope Valley continue today.

Bobby Morrow, CADC
Counselor
Men's Division
Bobby Morrow, CADC, has been in recovery since 1993 and is a long-time friend
of Hope Valley. Bobby shares, "Since I have been sober, just spending time around Hope Valley and its staff, I consider this place very special and I am honored to be a part of it". Bobby became a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in 2014 and enjoys working with other men in recovery.

Kim Bonin, CADC-I
Counselor
Women's Division
Kim Bonin, CADC-I, has shown dedication to addiction treatment since 2000, with roots in South Florida and Western NC. Kim's diverse background includes roles from Therapy Assistant to Bio Sound Specialist, and certifications like Chiropractic Assistant. Kim shares that after moving to North Carolina in 2018, Hope Valley's reputation, exceptional client support, and impactful women's program aligned with her values and started her pursuit to become a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Kim shares pride in Hope Valley's mission, stating, "Hope Valley is truly a standout in NC's Substance Use Disorder Treatment landscape".
